XTC Finals are Going Virtual, July 2020, and 2 New Awards

From everyone at XTC, we hope that you and those in your world are healthy and safe. Now more than ever, we commit to empowering startups whose ideas can tackle the world’s toughest challenges. We’re happy to announce three important updates about how we will provide that support over the months ahead:

First, the XTC Global Finals will happen this July, 2020. We are shifting to a virtual platform, which will provide qualifying startups with all the benefits of XTC: connections to corporations, global visibility, world-class mentorship, and opportunities to raise capital. In advance of the finals, we will also host a virtual bootcamp in June to help finalists prepare.

Second, on June 5th, the XTC evaluation committee will announce approximately 50 startups who will join the virtual bootcamp and the 2020 global finals. We’re excited to bring the benefits of XTC to our community in innovative ways and we ask that you stay tuned for more information about this announcement, the virtual events, and how you can participate.

Finally, XTC is proud to introduce two new awards:

COVID-19 Innovation Award: We see startups around the world responding to this global crisis through innovation, from testing kits to online education. We want to recognize those efforts and promote their successes by creating this special award, which will go to a startup addressing challenges brought on by COVID-19.

Female Founder Award: We would like to leverage the XTC platform to highlight these founders with deserving ideas to succeed. We will be awarding this recognition to the top startup with at least one female founder, whose innovations are driving solutions to global challenges.
