Extreme Tech Challenge Unveils Program at TNW Conference 2024

AMSTERDAM, the Netherlands – Extreme Tech Challenge (XTC) announces its three-session program at The Next Web (TNW) Conference, scheduled to take place in Amsterdam June 20–21, 2024. The program connects startup ecosystems around the world to address the toughest global challenges through tech innovation and entrepreneurship.
The TNW Conference will showcase over 220 exhibits, feature 190 speakers, and host unique networking events across sectors, such as AI & Machine Learning, climate tech, and fintech. With more than 10,000 attendees, the conference promises a vibrant festival atmosphere where participants can engage with industry titans, investors, startups, and experts through various meet-ups and deep-dive sessions.
As a program partner of TNW Conference, Extreme Tech Challenge will present three program sessions on Thursday, June 20.
First, on the Main Stage, 11:00 – 11:30 am, Young Sohn, Chairman of the Samsung Semiconductor Advisory Board and Founding Managing Partner of Walden Catalyst, and Lars Reger, Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer at NXP Semiconductors, will explore the uncharted territories of deep tech, discussing the latest trends, breakthroughs, and challenges that are reshaping the technological landscape.
In the afternoon, XTC will kick off on the Growth Quarters Stage at 4:00 pm with a panel discussion on The State of European Deep Tech to highlight the region’s leadership in AI, new energy, and robotics. Venture capitalists Nicolas Autret (Walden Catalyst Ventures), Thomas Oehl (Vsquared Ventures), Cyril Vančura (imec.xpand), and Sander Verbrugge (Innovation Industries) will share their insights on the investor landscape and the future of funding in deep tech.
The program culminates with the highly anticipated Global Deep Tech Startup Competition finale. Esteemed judges Marcus Hølland Eikeland (Katapult), Andy Lürling (LUMO Labs), and Thomas Oehl will evaluate live pitches from five groundbreaking startups, selecting a winner to be recognized for their innovation. The finalists will be announced on June 4, 2024.
