Extreme Tech Challenge to partner with Samsung

Extreme Tech Challenge, the world’s largest startup competition and ecosystem for entrepreneurs addressing global challenges, have partnered with Samsung Electronics, the global tech giant, to launch their latest startup competition:

The Samsung Climate & Circularity Tech Challenge

Since Samsung announced its New Environmental Strategy last year, the company has been closely working with startups to invest in and develop innovative technologies for a better planet. To continue this effort, Samsung and XTC will hold the Samsung Climate & Circularity Tech Challenge, which will focus on the topics of circular economy and climate change.

The Challenge seeks to identify tech that augments Samsung’s New Environmental Strategy, and address:

♻️  Resource Circularity – Resource Processing, Resource Sorting, and Resource Extraction

♻️  Climate Change Innovation – Carbon Emission Measurement & Management, Carbon Emission Reduction & Offsets

Select tech may be considered for implementation into Samsung’s wide range of products and associated manufacturing processes.

The global challenge is open to tech for good founders and innovators, whose ideas could form part of the next generation of home electronics including TVs, smartphones, tablets, home appliances & more.

“At Samsung, we are committed to discovering innovative technology that can contribute to our environment, in cooperation with the startup community. This challenge will provide an avenue for future innovators to showcase their solutions to today’s environmental problems.”
