mimic specializes in AI and robotic solutions that focuses on automating tedious tasks in various industries. A spinout of ETH Zurich, mimic is doing frontier AI for robot dexterity, building video-action models allowing general use robots, including proprietary dexterous robotic hands, to learn manipulation skills from human demonstrations. It tackles one of the most difficult challenges in physical AI: enabling robots to handle varied tasks in environments built for people, learning new skills to autonomously scale tedious operations from manufacturing to logistics.
