The XTC Startup Competitions @ CES are back for 2023!
Extreme Tech Challenge (XTC), the world’s largest startup competition for entrepreneurs addressing global challenges, is back at CES, the most influential tech event in the world. We’re bringing our mission to empower tech startups with a positive social and environmental impact to the global stage for innovation – in Las Vegas!
Back and Bigger Than Ever
Inspired by the United Nations 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), XTC, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit public benefit corporation with hundreds of global partners, is the largest ecosystem and competition for purpose-driven technology.
Since 2015, XTC finalists have raised $3.4B thanks to the support from leading corporations, venture capital investors, foundations, policymakers, universities, startup ecosystem builders, and tech conferences.
Excitingly, we will be back at CES in 2023, joined by the top eight entrepreneurs from four different verticals: Digital Health, Fintech, Sustainable Smart Cities, and Web3. These startups, chosen from hundreds of applications from more than 40 countries, will be pitching their innovations live on stage.

Pitch Days at CES
Our thirty-two entrepreneurs will be pitching live on stage January 5-6, 2023 at CES in Las Vegas. Each session will kick off with a keynote speaker, followed by the entrepreneur pitches and then the announcement of the winner!
- Thursday, January 5 (16:30-17:30 PST) – Digital Health and Fintech
- Friday, January 6 (11:00-12:00 PST) – Sustainable Smart Cities and Web3
The pitches will be judged by Young Sohn and Bill Tai (Co-Founder, Extreme Tech Challenge, Partner Emeritus Charles River Ventures; Angel Investor;) as well as top industry leaders based on the following equally-weighted evaluation criteria:
- Team Product Innovation
- Product / Market Fit
- Tech For Good / Responsible Innovation for a Radically Better World
