Harman Technology & Extreme Tech Challenge Announce Inaugural Startup Challenge Finalists
The finish line for the inaugural HARMAN-XTC Startup Challenge is in sight!
For 2022, XTC partnered with the HARMAN Technology Forum to bring the world’s largest Metaverse startup challenge to life.
Up to now, the competition has been fierce, and both ourselves and our judges have been blown away by the applicants looking to drive a global impact in Metaverse and Mobility technologies.
But, after great deliberation, we’ve been able to whittle the competition down to eight incredible Finalists.
So, without further ado, let us introduce you to your Finalists for the 2022 HARMAN-XTC Startup Challenge.
The Finalists
- 🇺🇸 Abby by GoGoTech — Low-price motorized wheelchair with modern motors, materials, design, and connectivity for OTA and app.
- 🇩🇪 Chargd. — Seamless and behavior-driven EV charging supported by Artificial Intelligence.
- 🇹🇹 Dingole — Reimagining music learning for seniors to support healthy aging with Virtual Reality.
- 🇮🇱 Kardome — AI voice technology for noisy environments and multi-speaker situ, replacing beam forming technology with innovative source separation algorithms.
- 🇺🇸 Open Sesame Media — Audio API services platform providing ultra-low latency synchronized audio over 5G, enabling instant digital audio experiences.
- 🇺🇸 Parrots — Assistive AI for those with mobility and communication challenges, assisting with seeing, speaking, and interacting at a fraction of the current cost.
- 🇨🇭 psHolix — 3D display solutions for cars and metaverse using patented pseudo-holography display technology.
- 🇬🇧 TG0 — Touch and gesture-sensing moldable conductive-polymer materials for fitness, healthcare, and automotive applications.
The Judges
Our judges had the unenviable task of narrowing down our semi-finalists to a final eight, and they deserve huge kudos for doing so. XTC would like to say a massive thank you to:

So, What’s Next For Our Finalists?
On September 28th, we’ll be live from Las Vegas at the HARMAN Technology Forum at The Theater in Virgin Hotels. Our eight Finalists will then present their innovations in a fast-pitch rotation, facilitated by our Executive Managing Director, Victoria Slivkoff, and XTC co-Founder and legendary investor Bill Tai, partner emeritus of Charles River Ventures.
The competition winner will then be determined by a live vote from a 350+ strong audience.
