Role Description
As the Strategic Program Manager, you are a strategic thinker and operational doer. Critical to your success is the ability to flex across initiatives and build effective bridges/alignment through strong partnerships, decision-making, and communication.
Working closely with the Executive Managing Director, you will:
- Execute and amplify the leadership agenda
- Manage and implement XTC program priorities
- Develop thought partnership to support the strategic plan
- Lead special initiatives and projects
- Shape/drive strategic initiatives and complex cross-functional projects through thoughtful planning and stakeholder alignment
- Prioritize and orchestrate deliverables to meet short and long term strategic goals
- Prepare program/project documentation such as presentations, reports, etc. Maintain project collaboration project sites and documentation. Manage and maintain the group’s knowledge-sharing sources, including shared drives and folders.
- Develop content to drive external stakeholder engagement and partnership outreach
- Measure progress via metrics in partnership with the marketing and ops team. Make recommendations based on findings.
- Support leader’s communications and internal/external facing presentations
- Manage internal and external facing meetings. Set the agenda, provide insights and analysis to inform strategic conversations, and track follow-through to increase accountability
- Review and advise on continuous improvement activities to ensure processes are optimized and aligned to achieve the best possible results.
- Communicate and manage information flow to ensure the team is up to date on critical information
- Sample programs include pitch competitions and showcases, bootcamp training workshops, annual Global Finals conference, mentorship network and networking events.
This is a hybrid (possibly 100% remote) role with working hours from Monday to Friday, 8am – 5pm PT.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, 5+ years of experience in program management or chief-of-staff-like roles
- Prior experience in managing startup innovation ecosystems preferred
- Self-starter with a desire to work in hyper-growth ecosystems tackling change management and complex systems
- Experience planning and leading strategic initiatives and ability to simplify processes and systems
- Excellent communication skills(both verbal and written) with strong reporting skills
- Strong relationship building skills
- Proven experience organizing and directing multiple teams and departments
- Strong problem-solving skills (analytical, conceptual, quantitative)
- Demonstrated track record of leadership through influence
- Demonstrated ability to work in a highly collaborative environment with a heavy emphasis on teamwork
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and Google Workspace
- A commitment to building inclusive teams and team culture
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in related area and/or equivalent experience.
